With six CDs under his belt, pianist Fred Sturm will be performing tonight at Outpost Performance Space. Sturm specializes in piano music of Latin America, and for this performance, Sturm takes his audience to Rio in the years just before 1920 when there was vibrant popular music called choro, a mixture of European and African influences. The performance starts at 7:30. Tickets are $20 and students and members get in for $15.
