It’s starting to look and feel like autumn in Albuquerque! With Balloon Fiesta just around the corner and the number of hot air balloons we wake up to in the morning increasing, it’s important not to forget about the awesome events that Albuquerque has to offer this weekend:

If you have the need for speed, attend the Concours Du Soleil Backlot Bash tonight at 6:30 at Albuquerque Studios for delicious food, refreshing cocktails and live entertainment. Tickets are $75 per person.

Come out and play tomorrow at Olympus Park at Bark in the Park from 10 am–2 pm. This event is fun for the whole family–even the four-legged members! Bark in the Park features face painting, train rides, doggie games, food and pet supply vendors, live entertainment and animal rescue groups. Sponsored by Enchantment Pet Resort and Spa.

In the mood to give back this weekend? Do it at Full Hearts Empty Bowls on Sunday from 11 am–2 pm at Project Share Inc. For just $25, this unique benefit includes the sale of extraordinary bowls/pottery donated by New Mexico’s talented potters (you receive a $10 coupon towards pottery with your $25 admission!), eating delicious soups, breads and desserts from some of Albuquerque’s finest restaurants, stores and bakeries, while listening to the  fantastic live local entertainment .

If you couldn’t get enough speed at the Concours Du Soleil Backlot Bash, attend Concours Du Soleil Public Car Show on Sunday from 11 am–3 pm at 6633 Guadalupe Trail NW, Los Ranchos. You will not see a collection of this brilliance and magnitude assembled anywhere in New Mexico except during Concours du Soleil. Stroll at your leisure on an exquisite three-acre private estate and enjoy the most rare and desirable cars in the southwest. Admission is $10 for car enthusiasts older than 10.
