Get your art fix at the group show, Gravure–The Chameleon of Printmaking tonight, June 15 from 5–8 p.m. at the New Grounds Print Workshop & Gallery. Photogravure is the perfect marriage of photography and printmaking. Rather than exposing negatives to photographic paper, in gravure the image is exposed to a light-sensitive plate which is then developed and can be printed like an etching. New Grounds Print Workshop has trained many artists in this medium. And be sure to check out the gravure demonstration by Aaron Bass from 6:30 to 7 p.m. during the reception.
Develop your inner beer connoisseur at Il Vicino Brewery’s Year of Beer Fest tomorrow, June 16 at Il Vicino Brewery. The festivities will begin at noon and last until 8 p.m. Enjoy 30 different styles of Il Vicino beer, live music, food and merriment on their breezy patio. Tickets are $20 per person. Cheers!
