Favorite Things Friday

As we start counting down the days to summer, warm weather and no wind (please!), keep busy with some of these interesting events going on in and around Albuquerque. Here are some of the things we’ll be doing this weekend:

Today through Sunday, make time for a little bit of soul searching at the Mind Body Spirit Expo Celebration. At EXPO New Mexico, enjoy a great holistic celebration with $20, 20-minute readings, free talks, and seminars and interact with gifted astrologers, tarot readers, psychics, and more. Daily admission is $5.

Head to Outpost Performance Space tonight for Roust The House Teen Performance Night. It starts at 7:30 and will feature local teen bands and soloists showing off their musical talents. From punk rock to classical piano and hip hop, marvel in what these young performers can do for only $3 at the door.

As if someone really needs to pull an arm and a leg to get you to Taos and Santa Fe, The Northern New Mexico Modern Home Tour is tomorrow and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. This self-guided tour features modern homes that are architecturally progressive and celebrate eco-friendly design. You can even meet the lead architects, builders and designers and garnetaken from http://www.cabq.gov/parksandrecreation/images/recyled%20art%20logo_11w.jpg/@@images/image/previewr ideas for your own home. Tickets purchased are good for both days; they’re $40 each.

Celebrate spring cleaning, recycling and art all at the same time this Saturday and Sunday for the 5th Annual Recycled Art Fair. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, check out the vendors selling arts and crafts, music, workshops and more. This event will take place at the Open Space Visitors Center and admission is free.
