For all you classic Sci-Fi movie lovers, It Came From Outer Space will be playing at the KiMo Theatre tonight at 8 pm. A spaceship from another world crashes in the Arizona desert and alien influence is soon suspected when the townspeople begin to act strange. Will the small town of Sand Rock, Arizona ever be the same?
Tacos? Tequila? I’m there! The Southwest Tequila & Taco Fest will be held on Saturday from noon to 5 pm at the Expo New Mexico State Fairgrounds. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, tequila tastings of over 30 brands and 50 varieties, mariachi music, free mechanical bull rides, cooking demos and taco eating (of course) are all available to enjoy. And the first 2000 people get free mini tacos!
Already excited for Balloon Fiesta this year? Lend a helping hand at the 3rd Annual Company’s Comin‘ in preparation for the more than 700,000 visitors expected to marvel in the sights and entertainment at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Mayor Richard J. Berry and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful encourage everyone to get outside and clean up for a few hours to show how proud we are to show off Albuquerque for one of the most anticipated events of the year.
In Corrales, the last weekend of September is a time to celebrate the history and character of this quaint village during the Corrales Harvest Festival. Live music, wine and beer tasting, delicious food, pony rides and a new event this year, the Kid’s Korner, will be some of the many activities taking place starting Saturday and ending early Sunday evening.
